Originally from Cheney, Kansas, Lakin has always felt most at home outdoors. His love for hunting, fishing, and spending time on country roads—combined with hands-on experience working on farms while growing up—made him love Kansas land and its potential.
Lakin graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Construction Management. For a few years he traveled managing projects; however, his passion for the outdoors and investing in real estate himself, ultimately led him to get his real estate license.
Lakin enjoys finding creative ways to add value to properties, whether through increasing equity, improving usability, or maximizing long-term resale potential. When he’s not working, he spends time with his wife, Kristen, relaxing at the lake, or being with friends and family. He is excited to be a part of Gene Francis and looks forward to continuing to serve his clients with honesty, dedication, and a strong understanding of land and investment opportunities.
