We are Hiring – Inside Sales Rep / Lot Manager

Position Overview

Gene Francis & Associates and Gavel Roads are seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Inside Sales Representative / Lot Manager to assist with auction operations, inventory management, equipment handling, and customer service.

This position plays a critical role in the success of our online and live auction operations by managing consigned inventory from arrival through pickup. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically minded, professional, customer-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

● Unloading and loading consigned items using company equipment including telehandlers, skid steers, tractors, and forklifts
● Receiving and documenting incoming inventory
● Taking quality photos and videos of auction items for marketing purposes
● Recording item descriptions, serial numbers, and other important details
● Entering auction listings into company auction software
● Organizing inventory on the lot and inside buildings for display, marketing, and efficient buyer pickup
● Managing inventory tracking and ensuring items are accurately located for load out
● Assisting customers, consignors, and buyers during preview days and pickup periods
● Communicating professionally with customers in person, over the phone, and through email or messaging
● Loading purchased items for buyers following auction completion
● Maintaining cleanliness and organization of auction facilities and equipment
● Assisting sales staff with consignment intake and customer communication
● Supporting auction setup and operational needs as required Items

Qualifications & Skills

Technical & Physical Skills
● Ability to safely lift heavy items and perform physical labor daily
● Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, tractors, telehandlers, or forklifts
● Strong organizational and inventory management skills
● Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn auction software systems
● Comfortable using smartphones, cameras, and apps for photos and videos
● Strong attention to detail
● Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
